About Laura Armstrong
Laura Armstrong sculpts raw steel using a variety of metalworking techniques to produce architectural elements, private sculptural commissions, and public art works.
Laura designs thoughtful, refined, and refreshing works. Her organically inspired pieces are well-suited for both indoor and outdoor settings.
Laura’s creations are typically abstract in nature, with an eye towards conveying an emotion, all while allowing the sculpture to be appreciated purely for its visual interest. She is inspired by graceful lines and forms found in nature, water birds, and the Art Nouveau style.
A resident of Austin, TX, Laura particularly enjoys commissioned work and pursuing public art opportunities to enrich public spaces.
Laura is keen on collaboration. “You’ve got to have a reason to get together,” she says, and a common project helps focus the mind and energy towards a tangible goal. Please be in touch if you are of the same mindset!
Laura’s portfolio includes sculpture in the Luis Perlotti Museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as public art and creations for private collectors in the United States.
