Cedar Park Call to Artists: year-long display in new sculpture garden

The City of Cedar Park Arts Advisory Board would like to invite you to submit your work for a year-long period of display in the newly created Cedar Park Community Sculpture Garden. This new sculpture garden is situated on land directly adjacent to the very popular Cedar Park Recreation Center. Each year, thousands of visitors frequent the Cedar Park Rec Center making this location a highly visible one within the Cedar Park community.

New Marble Falls Visitor's Center Public Art Request for Proposals!

The Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce is requesting proposals for public art to be ocated at the new Marble Falls Visitor's Center located at Hwy 281 and 2nd Street, Marble Falls, Texas.

Kerrville Art in Public Places Wants Outdoor Sculpture!!!

Entry Deadline April 30 2013
Kerrville Art in Public Places will feature sculptures from Texas artists in up to eight locations along the streets of Downtown Kerrville. Upon the close of competition in April, members of the Design Committee, a sub-committee of the Kerrville Main Street Advisory Board, along with selected art professionals and the City Manager will review submissions and select winners. Each selected artist will receive a $500 honorarium. Awards will also be given for the top three pieces, as determined by the selection committee- $1,000 for first, $500 for second, and $250 for third. A People's Choice prize of $100 will be awarded at the conclusion of the exhibition. The funding for the Public Art Project comes from the events of Kerrville Main Street, including their 2012 Main Street Moonlight Drive golf tournament and 2013 Mardi Gras on Main event.

Ongoing - Benches of Bee Cave Program

Attention: artists, artisans, woodworkers, metal-smiths, etc., the Bee Cave Arts Foundation is looking for artist submissions and sponsors for our Benches of Bee Cave Program. Artists - we need your help! We are looking for unique pieces of art that happen to take the shape of a functional bench. Please read the artists requirements for submissions located on our website: http://www.beecavearts.org/Site/Benches.html There are two ways to get involved: you can choose to design and donate your artwork to the Foundation, or you can submit an application of your design. Once approved, we will add your idea to our web site galleria so sponsors can choose your unique design. Be prepared to provide: 1- resume and references 2-artist's rendering (11x17) and vision statement (or you can complete the bench, adhering to our bench guidelines, and submit a photo for consideration) 3-Completed Artist Agreement and Conservation Form that outlines all the information on the materials used, fabrication methods, installation details and recommended maintenance.

Ongoing - Sacred Art Gallery Austin Exhibition

The Diocesan Fine Arts Council (DFAC) opened the Sacred Art Gallery in February 2009 and hosts a new exhibition every six months. The gallery is free and open to the public during business hours Monday through Friday. DFAC maintains a website www.austindfac.org with a directory of artist contacts and images to facilitate locating and selecting artists creating religious art. Artists interested in participating in future exhibitions of sacred art or being listed on the DFAC website directory hosted by the DFAC should contact Mark Landers: mark@landersstudio.com 512-472-9663. No commission charged for art work sold through the gallery and there is no charge for listing in the artist directory.

 

Ongoing -New Sculpture Garden Wants Outdoor Pieces

Armadillo Clay, in Austin, is inviting TSOS members to show outdoor sculpture in their sculpture garden at 3307 E. 4th St. The garden, located between the office building and gallery, is fenced and secured at night. Contact Craig Freiburger at 512-385-7311 or craig@armadilloclay.com
