Artist's Statement
Dan Pogue has expert knowledge in all aspects of designing, molding, casting, and creating the right patina for each bronze. He specializes in exotic patinas. Dan also has a unique series of relationship sculptures in bronze. He feels he has learned a lot about relationships and himself in the process of developing them. "My work has become more spontaneous and spiritual because of my focus on the relationship circle." Pogue has a series of commissioned life-size religious bronze sculptures (some listed below), placing them at churches and universities. He has also placed many life-size and larger sculptures at libraries, memorial parks and other public and private locations.

Artist's Bio
Dan Pogue, a native of Oklahoma City, is now living near Marble Falls, Texas. An award-winning sculptor since high school, he furthered his education, specializing in art. He then became a student of Keating Donahoe for two years, where he became fascinated by three-dimensional art. Until 1974 Pogue was an illustrator and art director for Art Carved, an Austin-based ring manufacturing firm and doing sculptures part time. During this time his work became in great demand. For the past thirty years Pogue has devoted full-time effort to the master of realistic and impressionistic design sculpture. His good eye for design enables him to pick the most appropriate expression for a corporate or private building, landscaped or memorial park or pool area. To control quality, for twenty-two years Dan has had his own gallery and foundry in the Texas Hill country, near Marble Falls, and oversees the sculpture from creation to finished piece.
